Danville Braves Announce 2016 Schedule
DANVILLE, VA - The Danville Braves have announced the dates for their 2016 game schedule, their 24th season in the Advance Rookie Appalachian League. They will play a split schedule, with 34 games at home (American Legion Post 325 Field) and 34 games on the road.
The Braves will open the season on the road for a third year in a row and 2nd year in a row versus the same opponent. The season opener will be on Thursday, June 23rd at the Pulaski Yankees. Danville will finish a three game series in Pulaski before traveling to the Princeton Rays for three games to finish out our first road trip.
The D-Braves will return to Danville for their 2016 home opener on Wednesday, June 29th versus the Johnson City Cardinals. After the three game series with the Cardinals the Braves will welcome the Burlington Royals to ALP 325 Field for a short two game series on July 2nd and 3rd. The Braves will then head back out on the road for 5 days at Burlington and Bluefield.
The Braves will continue their season throughout July and August before finishing up their home season with a three game series August 30-September 1 versus division opponent Burlington Royals. In a month by month breakdown, Danville will play 2 home games and 6 road games in June, 16 home games and 14 road games in July, 15 home games and 14 road games in August, and 1 home game in September.

The Danville Braves are owned and operated by the Atlanta Braves and have called Danville home since 1993. Season tickets (new and renewal) are now available for purchase for the 2016 season.
