Richardson Promoted to Assistant General Manager

Tyler Richardson has been promoted to Assistant General Manager of the Modesto Nuts, the club announced today. Richardson joined the staff as an administrative assistant prior to the 2005 season. He has held the Director of Ticket Sales and Director of Business Development titles before receiving his latest promotion.

"Tyler has been a key part of the front office since 2005," said Nuts Vice President and General Manager Mike Gorrasi. "He has been a vital part of the success of the franchise over the past six years and I know he will be able to meet this next challenge."

Richardson will oversee the franchise's sales efforts. The Nuts are coming off their 4th consecutive season of record-breaking attendance as well as recently being named the California League's Organization of the Year.

"I would like to thank Mike and the HWS ownership group for giving me this opportunity," said Richardson. "The staff and I will continue to work hard to provide the most affordable family entertainment to the residents of Stanislaus County."

The Modesto Nuts 2011 season begins on Thursday, April 7th when the Nuts host the rival Stockton Ports. The highlight of the 2011 season is the All-Star Smash, presented by Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel, hosted by the Nuts on Tuesday, June 21st. The All-Star Smash will feature the best of the California League against the best of the Carolina League. This will be the first time Modesto has hosted the event. Season ticket packages, which include a reserved seat to the All-Star Smash, are currently on-sale by calling the Modesto Nuts front office at (209) 572-HITS (4487).
