“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
 by John Fitzgerald Kennedy

Veteran's Day is a day dedicated to honor all men and women, both living and deceased, who have served in the United States armed forces. It is a somber reminder of the millions of Americans who have fought for freedom and the more than one million who have died for that cause. In 1918, on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day in the eleventh month, the world rejoiced and celebrated. After four years of bitter war, an armistice was signed. The "war to end all wars" was over.

The Charlotte Knights front office would like to thank all of the brave men and women that have served this great nation in the armed forces over the years. We are not just thankful today, but everyday of the year.

A special thank you to one of our very own Charlotte Knights, Brett Butler, who is currently serving in the South Carolina Army National Guard. Good luck out there and come home safe.

Please join the Knights in taking a moment today to think about all the veterans and all that they have sacrificed. Please take some time to thank a veteran.

Thank You Veterans,
Charlotte Knights Front Office
