Former Red Sox Catcher Rich Gedman to Attend Granite State Baseball Dinner, Presented by Northeast Delta Dental
Manchester, N.H. - The New
Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto
Blue Jays, are pleased to announced that longtime Boston Red Sox
catcher Rich Gedman has claimed a
seat at the
head table for the Granite State
Baseball Dinner, presented by Northeast
Delta Dental, scheduled for Saturday, November 20, at the Radisson Hotel Expo Center in downtown
Manchester, NH. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children's
Hospital at
Gedman, a catcher for 13 Major
League seasons, played
ten seasons for the Red Sox between 1980 and 1990 before spending time
with the
Houston Astros and St. Louis Cardinals.
The
Gedman was a two-time American
League All-Star
(1985-86), won the Sporting News
Rookie of the Year Award in 1981, slammed a career-best 24 home runs in
1984
and followed that up with career highs in batting average (.295) and
RBIs (80)
in 1985.
Tickets
to the dinner are $75
per person and include dinner, a silent auction and an autograph
session with
the night's special guests. Fans can purchase tickets in

open at 5:00 p.m. for the silent auction and autograph session, with
dinner
