Thunder Welcome Back 1994 Front Office Member John Fierko

January 4, 2016

The Thunder are pleased to announce the hiring of John Fierko as the VP of Ticket Sales among several additions to the front office.

Fierko was a member of the Thunder front office staff in 1994 when the franchise began operation. Fierko spent four years with the Thunder as Director of Ticket Sales before embarking on a career that saw him spend time with the Philadelphia 76ers, the ECHL, the Trenton Devils, the Lakewood BlueClaws and Comcast Sports Net Philadelphia.

"We always felt that John was part of our family," said Thunder GM/COO Jeff Hurley. "John brings a wealth of experience and it's great that we could help bring his career full-circle."

Fierko graduated from The College of New Jersey in 1988 and spent the first four years of his professional career as a Customer Relations Representative with IBM before joining the Thunder in 1994.

"It's a great opportunity to come back to the Thunder," said Fierko. "I'm excited to work with our ownership group, Jeff and our front office staff to provide our fans with great family entertainment."

The Thunder also announced several promotions to the full-time staff including Chris Foster as Director of Creative Services. A native of Pittsgrove, NJ, Foster joined the Thunder in 2013 as a Production Assistant and rose to Manager of Production prior to his promotion.

A 2013 graduate of Rider University's TV Production program, Foster played golf for the Broncs in addition to serving as a lead producer for the University's athletic video service BroncVision. As Director, Foster will take a leadership role in the execution of the team's marketing plan as well as oversee the world famous Thunder Entertainment Experience.

Joining Fierko in the ticket department on a full-time basis are Brian Davis, as Group Sales Account Representative and Steve Carpenter, as Ticket Sales Account Representative.

Davis joined the Thunder as a clubhouse intern in 2013 and returned to the organization as the Finance Assistant in 2015. A native of Doylestown, PA, Davis graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014 with a degree in History and was one of the founding fathers of Pi Kappa Phi. As a 16-year-old, Davis traveled to China with the Central Bucks Honors Band where he played Saxophone.

Carpenter was hired as a Ticket Assistant prior to the 2015 campaign and joins the full-time staff in 2016. Carpenter graduated from Loyola University in Chicago in 2014 with a degree in Finance and Sport Management. Much to his dismay, Carpenter made travel plans to see the Cubs in the World Series last fall.

The Thunder are also proud to welcome Mary Genthe as Front Office Manager and Bryan Rock as Stadium Operations Manager.

Genthe joined the Thunder in 2015 as the Administrative Assistant to the Front Office. Genthe graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2015 with a degree in Communications and did an internship with WPST before joining the organization. Genthe is no stranger to ARM & HAMMER Park having participated in Thunder Baseball Camps and Boomer's Book Buddies programs as a youth. She is one of 11 siblings and is the niece of former Thunder Assistant GM, and current Philadelphia Phillies TV voice, Tom McCarthy.

Rock joined the Thunder as a Food and Beverage cashier in 2012 and rose to Food and Beverage Operations Manager prior to his promotion to Stadium Operations Manager. A native of Hamilton, NJ, Rock attended Nottingham High School and played Baseball, Soccer, Hockey and Lacrosse. A lifelong fan of the Flyers, Rock owns a signed Claude Giroux Eisbaren Berlin jersey.

The 2016 season, the 23rd in franchise history, will begin at ARM & HAMMER Park on April 7 when the Thunder host the Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers) at 7:00 p.m. Groups, season tickets, Pic-A-Plans and mini plans for the 2016 season are on sale now at www.TrentonThunder.com or by calling 609-394-3300.
