Operation Christmas Child

The Charlotte Knights’ front office staff will be partnering with Samaritans Purse in hopes to bring the Joy of Christmas to children all over the world. Their mission is to reveal God’s love in a physical way, and to share the Good News about Jesus Christ.

Last year, over 8 million boxes were delivered to needy children across the world.
The Charlotte Knights’ staff will be heading to the distribution center on December 8th to help pack up the donated boxes and ship them out prior to Christmas Season.

If you would like to help us in our efforts please join us this week, November 15th- 22nd, in collecting items for the children. All donations can be dropped off at the ballpark from 9:00-5:30 M-F; or we will be happy to take your pre-packed box with us to the center.

Suggested Items:

• TOYS
  small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch®, toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky®, etc.
• SCHOOL SUPPLIES
  pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc.
• HYGIENE ITEMS
  toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.
• OTHER
  Hard candy and lollipops (please double bag all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps; sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)

 

DO NOT INCLUDE:
Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snowglobes or glass containers; aerosol cans
