Sherman Among Record Number Of AGH Penguin Swimmers
Sherman the Shorebird was among a record number of participants to attend Atlantic General Hospital's 22nd annual Penguin Swim in Ocean City, Md.
Over 1,000 revelers took advantage of the above-average temperatures to go for a dip in the Atlantic Ocean and support a good cause. Over $104,000 in donations were raised for Atlantic General Hospital through this year's event.
Sherman has become a regular at the Penguin Swim, visiting with both swimmers and spectators while even participating in recent years.
"This was the largest crowd I've ever seen for the Penguin Swim," said Michael Franklin, president and CEO of Atlantic General Hospital. "It's a great event to bring our community and visitors together to have a lot of fun doing something a little crazy, and at the same time help one of the most important assets in our community."
