Potomac launches new website

January 24, 2007
WOODBRIDGE, Va. -- The Potomac Nationals announced today the launch of the new official team website. The team has partnered with Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) to provide fans the ultimate multimedia experience featuring more content to take them inside the games like never before.

"We are thrilled to partner with MLBAM in launching our new website," said Bobby Holland, Vice President and General Manager for the Potomac Nationals. "Each year we receive numerous suggestions from our fans as to content and features they would like to see on our website. We took those suggestions to heart this offseason and feel that we have created an outstanding resource for Potomac Nationals team information."

The staple of the new site is its increased content. Fans will be able to access a wide variety of the latest statistical information from a player's career statistics to his day-to-day performances. Fans will also have easier access to information from around the Carolina League and throughout Minor League Baseball.

In addition, fans will be able to learn more about the P-Nats' promotions, community involvement, and ticket information. The homepage will dawn a sleeker look including a rotating media wall with the latest news and an improved team newsletter.

In January of 2005, MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM) and the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues (NAPBL), better know as Minor League Baseball, announced a major partnership agreement making MLBAM the exclusive provider of internet related services for the Minor Leagues. The 10-year online agreement, which began with the 2005 season, makes MLBAM exclusively responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the official Minor League site, the websites for each of the NAPBL leagues and the websites for the NAPBL teams that elect to participate in the new website network.

Currently BAM hosts and maintains the sites for over 65 Minor League teams and Leagues. In addition, MLBAM has been selected as the official statistician for Minor League Baseball.
