Hulett back for fifth season in Spokane
Manager Tim Hulett returns to Spokane for his fifth season with the Indians. He is the longest-tenured manager in team history, compling a 167-140 record in four seasons. Hulett was named 2010 Northwest League Manager of the Year after leading Spokane to a 43-33 record and the Eastern Division championship.
Winner of two NWL Manager of the Year awards in the last three seasons, Hulett led the Indians to a league title in 2008.
Hitting Coach Brian Dayett returns for his second season in Spokane and his seventh in the Rangers organization. The Indians led the league in batting, hits, runs scored, RBIs and on-base percentage last season.
Josue Perez returns to Spokane for his third season with the Indians and sixth in the Rangers organization. He will take over as bench coach and split time with Dayett as hitting coach.
The new addition to the coaching staff is former Indians pitching coach Dave Chavarria, who will begin his 11th season with the Rangers organization after serving with Spokane in 2003-04. Chavarria had been the pitching coach at Class A Advanced Bakersfield since 2005.
