JetHawks & City of Lancaster Celebrate 20 Years

Mondays at the Ballpark Will Honor Milestone Anniversary

(LANCASTER, CA) - The Lancaster JetHawks, a minor league affiliate of the Houston Astros, are celebrating their 20th anniversary season in Lancaster with a number of great promotions, as well as fireworks and giveaways. As part of the celebration, the JetHawks will team up with the City of Lancaster to host "20th Anniversary Mondays." 

"20th Anniversary Mondays," featuring throwback ticket prices, special promotions, music, and more, will be held on every Monday game throughout the 2016 season, Throwback ticket prices are $5 for Grandstand seats (regularly $10) and $6 for AV Chevrolet Diamond Club seats (regularly $15). Throwback tickets reflect the original prices from 1996, the first JetHawks season in Lancaster, and will be available for walkup ticket orders on the day of the game only.

"In celebrating 20 years in the Antelope Valley, we couldn't ask for a better partner than the City of Lancaster," said Tom Backemeyer, JetHawks Executive Vice-President, "We are excited to celebrate this historic anniversary with our fans and look forward to another 20 years right here in Lancaster."

In addition, on select Monday games the JetHawks, in partnership with the City of Lancaster, will be giving away nostalgic t-shirt jerseys. The shirts will feature vintage JetHawk jersey styles, and will pay homage to former JetHawks stars who have played at the Hangar over the last 20 years. On Monday, April 18th, the first 500 fans will receive a t-shirt jersey featuring former JetHawks player and 2016 JetHawks manager Ramon Vazquez. On May 16th, June 6th, August 1st, the first 500 fans will receive t-shirt jerseys of former Stealth & Los Angeles Dodgers star Juan Pierre; former JetHawks & Arizona Diamondback star Brandon Webb; and 2016 Cy Young winner & current Houston Astros star pitcher Dallas Keuchel, respectively.

"There is nothing quite like the experience of joining friends and family at our local stadium while cheering on the JetHawks - it not only builds camaraderie, it strengthens community pride," said City of Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. "We are proud to partner with the Lancaster JetHawks as we join them in celebrating their 20th anniversary."
