River Cats iPhone App first of its kind in Minors

Critical Technologies Group integrates mobile ticket purchasing for Apple products

The Sacramento River Cats announced today the launch of the official River Cats iPhone application. The River Cats are the first Minor League Baseball Team in the country to release an iPhone application that allows fans the ability to purchase tickets directly through the app. The app was developed in partnership with Critical Technologies Group and is available for free for all Apple mobile products including iPhone, iPad, iTouch, etc via the iPhone App Store. Individual-game tickets, which start at $7, will go on sale through the app starting Feb. 7, 2011. Season Tickets, Mini-Plans, and Flex Plans are currently available for purchase at www.rivercats.com.

In addition to purchasing tickets from the application, other features include:

- Live game pitch-by-pitch and in-game updates
- A social media hub with direct Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare feeds
- The season schedule integrated with Art of Baseball pictures drawn by students from around the Sacramento community
- Promotion and giveaway listings
- River Cats news and standings
- Special offer notifications

An Android version of the River Cats app will be available in early 2011.
