A look at Challenger "Field of Dreams"

Fully accessible field announced months ago; renderings bring excitement to project
January 30, 2016

(Vancouver, B.C.) - The area has been selected, the grass has been brought up with a synthetic turf set to replace it as the beginning phases of the Challenger "Field of Dreams" is now underway out at Hillcrest Park, just steps away from historic Scotiabank Field.

Thanks in large part to Variety - The Children's Charity, The Jays Care Foundation and The Vancouver Board of Parks & Recreation - the Vancouver Canadians Baseball Foundation's commitment to Challenger Baseball is now stronger than ever. The field will be primarily used by the all-inclusive league that allows children with physical and/or cognitive challengers to discover and enjoy the game of baseball.

The VCBF donated $20,000 to The Vancouver Board of Parks & Recreation Foundation at the 6th Annual Scotiabank Vancouver Canadians Hot Stove Luncheon with the Park Board represented by both Malcolm Bromley and Sarah Kirby-Yung. Canadians Managing General Partner Jake Kerr, partner Jeff Mooney and president Andy Dunn were on-hand to help in the presentation.

The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Foundation is proud to work alongside these great charitable organizations and believes that the new Challenger Field of Dreams will provide a service and opportunity to countless players and their familes and bring an added excitement to the game of baseball thanks to a 'home' for all our bright and inspiring Challenger players.

Let's Play Ball in 2016!
