David begins his ninth year in the Cubs system and returns to Single-A Boise as pitching coach for the third-consecutive season after handling the same duties for Single-A Peoria in 2010 and Boise in 2009 ... was Single-A Daytona's pitching coach in 2008 and held the same position for Peoria in 2007.

• Prior to his work with the Cubs, spent 18 years as a pitcher for Manati (Puerto Rican Winter League) - where his manager was Cubs bullpen coach, Lester Strode. Also served as bullpen coach during his final four seasons with Manati.
• Pitched professionally in the minor leagues with the Cubs (1986- 92), New York Yankees (1993) and the Expos (1994).
• Has seen managerial time in the Puerto Rican Summer League.
