Legends Hiring Interns for Spring Semester

Lexington Legends (Lexington, KY) - The Lexington Legends Professional Baseball Club is seeking applicants for their Inside Sales Internship. This unique internship will allow interns to create and generate new business and revenue by selling various ticket plans to businesses and individuals in the Central Kentucky area.

The Legends are looking for motivated people who want to break into the competitive sports industry. The Legends are an affiliated baseball team which plays in the South Atlantic League and are the Single-A affiliate of the Houston Astros.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Generate revenue through cold calls to area companies to set-up appointments to sell Legends Full and Partial Season Seats, and Group Ticket Packages
• Generate leads by prospecting sales and generating referrals
• Responsible for closing sales over the phone as well as assisting in the sales process
• Responsible for reaching targeting number of phone calls per shift

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University
• Technically proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Strong team work skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Must be energetic
• Must work independently and self-motivate
• Being able to think outside the box
• Professional appearance
• Reliable transportation
• A passion for professional sports
