July 4th fireworks and another visit to Historic Dodgertown are planned
February 12, 2016

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (February 12, 2016) - The St. Lucie Mets are pleased to announce their 2016 schedule and that tickets to all home games will go on sale Monday.

The Mets will play their regular 140-game Florida State League slate with 70 home games at Tradition Field and 70 road games.

The season begins at home on Thursday, April 7 vs. the Jupiter Hammerheads at 6:30 p.m. The season also wraps up at home with a 10:30 a.m. game against Jupiter on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Fans can purchase a wide range of tickets beginning Monday. A season ticket for all 70 home games costs $275. Flex packs (10 tickets for $50 and 20 tickets for $90) and individual tickets are also available Monday at 10 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased on stluciemets.com, in person at the Tradition Field box office or over the phone by calling 772-871-2115.

The Mets summer schedule is highlighted by a home fireworks game against the Fort Myers Miracle on Monday, July 4.

The Mets have two season-long eight-game home stands. The first is April 17-24 featuring contests against Brevard County, Charlotte and Bradenton. The second is July 13-20 with games vs. Daytona and Tampa.

Two Education Day games are set for May 10 and May 18 with 10:30 a.m. starts. Another 10:30 a.m. start time is Camp Day on July 20. All other Monday-Saturday games will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday games will be played at 1 p.m. with the exception of July 17 and August 14. Those games start at 4 p.m.

In a scheduling quirk, the Mets will only play six home games in June for the second consecutive year. Last year it was to prepare Tradition Field for the FSL All Star Game. This year the All Star Game is in Fort Myers on June 18.

The Mets are once again honored to be participants in the annual Jackie Robinson Celebration Game in Vero Beach. The Mets will be the visiting team at Holman Stadium at Historic Dodgertown against the Brevard County Manatees on Friday, April 15. The Mets and Manatees played in front of over 5,000 fans in last year's contest.

The Mets and Jupiter are travel partners for 2016. The Mets will host the Hammerheads 10 times and travel to Jupiter 10 times. The Mets will play the remaining FSL South Division teams - Bradenton, Charlotte, Fort Myers and Palm Beach - 18 times apiece (nine home, nine road).

The Mets will play eight games against each of the FSL North teams - Brevard County, Clearwater, Daytona, Dunedin, Lakeland and Tampa. They'll host each North team for a four-game home stand and visit each team for a four-game road trip.
