Longtime Cougars GM Sedivy resigns

Executive held position in Kane County for 14 seasons
January 17, 2011
GENEVA, Ill. -- The Kane County Cougars have announced that Jeff Sedivy has resigned from the Cougars organization. The Cougars will maintain the existing front office management as the organization prepares for the 21st season of Cougars baseball, which begins on April 7.

"We wish Jeff nothing but the best and thank him for his 14 seasons as General Manger of the Cougars and his contributions to the organization during that time," Cougars co-owner Mike Murtaugh said.

Sedivy held the GM post with the Cougars for 14 seasons after starting with the organization in 1991. During his tenure, the Cougars successfully completed a $10.5 million Elfstrom Stadium renovation project in 2009 that helped develop the facility into a year-round venue.
