Lookouts Games to Be on Hippie Radio 106.9 FM

The Chattanooga Lookouts and Brewer Media are proud to announce that the Lookouts new flagship station for the 2011 season will be Hippie Radio 106.9 FM and in High-Def on WPLZ 95.3 HD2. All 140 Lookouts games will be broadcast on Chattanooga's newest digital radio station. "Our fans and partners have asked us to expand our coverage, and this gives us a great opportunity to reach out to them with the new station coming on line," said Lookouts Director of Broadcasting Larry Ward. Ward, who is entering his 24th season as "The Voice" of the Lookouts, has accrued over 3,000 games behind the Lookouts microphone in his storied career. In addition to being twice named Southern League Broadcaster of the Year, he was inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. For the fifth consecutive season, he will be joined in the booth by Will Poindexter. In addition to tuning in on their radio dials, fans will also be able to listen to the Lookouts via online streaming at lookouts.com and hippieradio1069.com. Hippie Radio 106.9 focuses on its core music from 1964 to 1973, while adding news, traffic, weather, fun facts of the age, retro trivia, and local information on events happening in and around Chattanooga.
