NATURALS, WALMART TEAM UP ON MILITARY APPRECIATION PROGRAM

Nominate a member of the military or veteran to be honored before a Naturals game during the 2016 season

SPRINGDALE, Ark - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to team up with Walmart once again on our Military Appreciation program, which was created to honor the men and women that serve or have served in the United States Military. The nominated men and women that are selected for the Military Appreciation program presented by Walmart will receive public recognition before select home games during Season Nine of Naturals baseball.

The Military Appreciation program will take place at all ten (10) Sunday home games this year. Whether it's to honor a friend, relative, or to reunite a recently returned home veteran with their family, we ask that interested fans visit our website www.nwanaturals.com and fill out the form located under the Community tab titled Walmart Military Appreciation Program then either fax or email it to the Naturals at the contact information listed on the nomination form. You may also drop it off at our Administrative Office located at Arvest Ballpark between 10am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

Nominees that are selected will receive on-field or videoboard recognition during a special pre-game ceremony at a Sunday Naturals game, four (4) complimentary Super Premium tickets, and a special certificate of recognition.

In May 2015, Walmart announced the next step in its Veterans Welcome Home Commitment by guaranteeing a job offer to any eligible U.S. veteran honorably discharged from active duty since the commitment's original launch on Memorial Day 2013. The previous commitment was for veterans within 12 months off active duty. In May of 2015, Walmart expanded its 2013 projection of hiring 100,000 veterans by 2018, increasing the projection to 250,000 veterans by the end of 2020. Since Memorial Day 2013, Walmart has hired more than 120,000 new veteran associates, and over 13,000 have been promoted since joining the Walmart team. In addition to the Military Appreciation program, the Naturals offer a Military discount at every game. A Military ID, when shown at the Arvest Ballpark Box Office, is valid for a $1 discount off the regular ticket price to any home games.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will return to action on Thursday, April 7 of 2016 when they host the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A Affiliate of the Texas Rangers, to begin Season Nine of Naturals Baseball.
