Round Rock Express Announces Full 2016 Promotions and Events Schedule

ROUND ROCK, Texas - There will truly be something for everyone this season at Dell Diamond. The Round Rock Express announced its full 2016 promotional and events schedule, which includes two dozen theme nights, 12 fan giveaways, five postgame concerts, and fireworks after every Friday home game throughout the season.

Back for 2016, the Express will feature a different promotion for each night of the week. Every Sunday is H-E-B Kids Day with special giveaways on select games for all kids in attendance. There will be pre-game events outside the stadium and kids will get the chance to run the bases following the game. Mondays are $1 hot dog and soda nights, presented by Mrs Baird's. Bring out a group on Tuesdays for half-priced tickets, presented by A+ Federal Credit Union. Wednesdays are your chance to hit it big with Winning Wednesdays, presented by the Texas Lottery. Plus, help us Strike Out Hunger with the Capital Area Food Bank on Wednesdays by bringing two H-E-B branded canned goods in exchange for a general admission ticket. Kick off the weekend early with the Original Thirsty Thursday, presented by Firetrol Protection Systems. Fans can enjoy discounted beer specials and $1 sodas. Bud Light Friday Fireworks are back in 2016. Watch the Central Texas sky light up following all Friday home games. Finally, Saturdays at the ballpark will feature special giveaways and postgame concerts throughout the year.

New to 2016 are four special Sunday night firework shows on June 5, July 3, August 7, and September 4.

This year's promotional schedule begins with Opening Day on April 15 as fans will receive a 2016 schedule magnet before being treated to a postgame fireworks show, presented by Bud Light. The festivities continue into the weekend as Nyle Maxwell Family of Dealerships presents Express Caps to the first 3,000 fans on April 16 before LC Rocks takes the stage in the first of five St. David's Postgame Sumer Concerts, presented by Dell.

This season's theme nights are highlighted by two Bark in the Park events (April 18 and May 1), Star Wars Night (April 29), two 80s Nights (May 7 and August 20), 70s Night (May 13), 90s Night (June 4), and What Could Have Been: Round Rock FireAnts (July 21). The Express will also celebrate Military Appreciation Day (May 30), Independence Day weekend (July 1-3), Alumni Weekend (July 29-30), and Fan Appreciation Weekend (September 2-5). The Texas Legends bobblehead series continues in 2016 with a one-of-a-kind George Strait bobblehead giveaway on July 14, thanks to the Sanders Family. The 17^th annual Nolan Ryan bobblehead night, presented by Whataburger, will occur on May 28 this season. Other giveaways include a desk replica Round Rock presented by Dell on April 30, H-E-B reusable grocery bags on July 28, and many more throughout the season. The St. David's Postgame Summer Concert Series, presented by Dell, is back for the sixth consecutive season. Four different groups will rock the centerfield stage after five select Saturday home games. Following LC Rocks' performance on April 16, fans will enjoy the first of two shows by The Spazmatics on May 7. ZooDust will bring their 90s covers back to Dell Diamond on June 4 before Austin legend Bob Schneider takes the stage on July 16 in what will be his sixth appearance in the Postgame Summer Concert Series.
