Kernels announce MWL All-Star Game Sponsors
Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels are pleased to announce that the Cedar Rapids Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is the presenting sponsor of the 2016 Midwest League All-Star Game at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, June 21st. It is the first time since 2004 that Cedar Rapids has hosted the MWL All-Star Game and the Kernels are not schedule to host the All-Star Game again until 2031.
Festivities for the All-Star Game will take place over two days starting Monday, June 20th with the All-Star Fan Fest, presented by Rockwell Collins and Z 102.9. The Fan Fest will be held in the parking lot of Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Watch the premier home run hitters in the Midwest League strut their stuff in the All-Star Home Run Derby, presented by Collins Community Credit Union, before the Eastern and Western Division All-Stars take the field for the 2016 MWL All-Star Game, presented by the Cedar Rapids Area Convention & Visitors Bureau at 7:05 PM.
After the game, enjoy a spectacular FIREWORKS show and then party with the MWL All-Stars at the All-Star Post-Game Party, presented by Empire Fence & Netting (location TBD).

The Kernels are also pleased to announce they will partner with the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel and Convention Center in downtown Cedar Rapids as the Official Hotel of the 2016 Midwest League All-Star Game.

Individual game tickets for the 2016 Midwest League All-Star Game will go on sale Monday, March 14th by calling the Kernels Ticket Office at (319) 896-7560 or online at www.kernels.com. All-Star Game group outing packages are on sale now - more information is available by calling the Kernels at (319) 363-3887 during normal business hours (9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday).
The Kernels open the 2016 Midwest League season at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Thursday, April 7th against the Quad Cities River Bandits. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM.
