Unique giveaways, hometown honors, special jerseys highlights 2016 Curve promotions
CURVE, Pa. - Bobblehead giveaways to salute popular alumni and the team's Hall of Fame owners, plus a special night to honor Roberto Clemente accent the 2016 Altoona Curve promotional calendar released by the franchise this week through its various social media accounts. Following up on the 2015 season, which saw the team's highest attendance in seven years, the Curve developed a list of promotional dates that seeks to build on that success. The 2016 campaign will see 26 fireworks shows, 14 giveaway items, three celebrity appearances and dozens of fun and community-based theme nights. Single-game tickets for the upcoming season go on sale Monday (Feb. 29) at 9 a.m. and can be purchased in-person, online at AltoonaCurve.com, or by phone at 877-99-CURVE.
"It's truly remarkable what our staff has done in developing new and unique promotions on an annual basis," said Curve General Manager Rob Egan. "Going into our 18th season, that is the continual challenge. Our creative team has really come up with a great list of events that Curve fans of all ages won't want to miss in 2016."

"This should be a truly special evening," said Egan. "The Clemente family has helped us put together an all-encompassing night to honor Roberto and the Pirates complete with the bust giveaway, a Pirates-style jersey auction for charity, and appearances by the Pirate Parrot, Pierogies and Bucco Brigade."

"Because so many Major and Minor League teams do Star Wars nights with jerseys, we try to do something that will be unique," said Egan. "Last year, the Jabba the Hutt jerseys were off-beat and we scored 13 runs. So, we thought who better than the annoying Jar Jar Binks to distract the opposing pitching staff. There's a method to our madness."

2016 Fireworks Nights
Curve fans will be treated to 26 fireworks shows this season. The team will once again host their popular fireworks shows after every Saturday and Sunday night game, as well as other select dates, including a Double Fireworks Show for Opening Day on Thursday, April 7 and a Mega Blast Fireworks Event on Wednesday, June 15.

2016 Theme Nights
