Six Lakeland Flying Tigers invited to Major League Camp
Earlier in the month the Detroit Tigers announced that 6 Flying Tigers players have been invited to major league camp this spring in Lakeland, FL. Invitees include 2010 Flying Tigers Bryan Holaday, Brandon Douglas, Ben Guez, John Murrian, and Adam Wilk.
Bryan Holaday started his baseball career with the Flying Tigers, spending all of 2010 as a catcher. Brandon Douglas started his minor league career in 2008 in the Gulf Coast League, spending half of 2010 with the Lakeland Flying Tigers and the other half in Erie as an infielder. Ben Guez was drafted in the 19th round of the 2008 draft by the Tigers. He spent 2010 not only in Lakeland but also in Erie and Toledo as an outfielder. John Murrian was drafted in 2009, spending 2010 in both Lakeland and Erie as a catcher. Adam Wilk began his baseball career in 2009 as a pitcher, spending 2010 in Lakeland and Erie.
