F&M Bank High School Baseball Classic highlights slate of spring games at ballpark
KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (March 4, 2016) - The Kannapolis Intimidators are hosting a full slate of local high school baseball games at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System highlighted by the annual F&M Bank High School Baseball Classic from March 30 through April 1. The first high school game of the season is set for Monday, March 7, when the GCCA Stallions host South Lake Christian beginning at 4:00 p.m.
"We enjoy welcoming local high school programs to our ballpark each spring," said Intimidators General Manager Randy Long. "It provides a great experience for them to play on a professional baseball field while showcasing their talents to the entire community."
Local rivals will square off at Intimidators Stadium on Wednesday, April 27, when the A.L. Brown Wonders face the Concord Spiders. A.L. Brown will also take the field against Pisgah High School on March 19 when Pisgah plays a doubleheader against the Wonders and the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans. Northwest Cabarrus is slated to face Hopewell in their first game at Intimidators Stadium on March 9.
As part of its inaugural baseball season, Carolina International School will host Carmel Christian School at Intimidators Stadium on Tuesday, March 22, with first pitch at 4:00 p.m.
The annual F&M Bank High School Baseball Classic welcomes an eight-team field to compete in a three-day tournament March 30 through April 1 with four games each day at 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. This year's field includes A.L. Brown, Northwest Cabarrus, J.M. Robinson High School, Jesse C. Carson High School, South Rowan High School, Salisbury High School, and Parkwood High School.
Tickets for the high school tournament are only $6 for adults and $5 for students and seniors (55+) while children 3 & under will be admitted free. The full schedule of games and a complete bracket can be found below along with a complete list of spring games at Intimidators Stadium.

About the Intimidators
The Intimidators are currently preparing for the 22nd season of professional baseball in Kannapolis and 16th season as a Chicago White Sox affiliate. Since the team's inception in 1995, a total of 85 players have gone from Kannapolis to the Major Leagues.
