Ciccarelli Makes Way for Mr. Hockey

MIDLAND, MI - On Monday, the Great Lakes Loons finalized the details of the new Red Wings Legends Series ticket package, presented by MidMichigan Health, by revealing which former Red Wings would be recognized with bobbleheads. In an unexpected change of events, the Loons are excited to announce that Gordie Howe, the Red Wings all-time leader in points, goals, and games played, will be added to the bobblehead lineup, replacing Dino Ciccarelli.

"It was definitely a surprise when Gordie Howe became available to us shortly after the first release," VP of marketing and entertainment Chris Mundhenk said. "It was a no-brainer to add Howe and make this inaugural Red Wings Legends Series class even more exciting for our fans. We'd like to thank Mr. Howe and Mr. Ciccarelli for helping us to bring this great lineup of bobblehead giveaways to Dow Diamond in 2011."

The Red Wings Legends Series Ticket Package is available now through the Loons ticket office at 989-837-BALL. With the package, fans will receive box seats to each of the Loons six home games in the series, three Red Wings bobblehead giveaways and the opportunity to meet the three Red Wings legends visiting Dow Diamond. All player appearances have been confirmed but are subject to change.
