Tony Mansolino Added to Scrappers Coaching Staff
The Cleveland Indians and Vice President of Player Development ROSS ATKINS announced that TONY MANSOLINO has been added to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers coaching staff, joining Manager DAVE WALLACE and Pitching Coach GREG HIBBARD for the 2011 season.
Mansolino, 28, begins his coaching career with the Indians after playing professionally for six seasons as an infielder from 2005-10 after being selected in the 26th round of the 2005 Draft by Pittsburgh out of Vanderbilt, finishing with a career minor league average of .232 with 19 HR and 169 RBI in 441 games. His father, Doug, is the Infield Coordinator in the Phillies Player Development System.
