World of Beer presents Augusta Craft Beer Festival

AUGUSTA, GA - The Augusta GreenJackets, in conjunction with Augusta Sports Leagues, have teamed up to bring the inaugural Augusta Craft Beer Festival presented by World of Beer. Proceeds will benefit the Augusta Sports Council, an organization that is responsible for bringing national sporting events to Augusta. The Augusta Craft Beer Festival will be hosted at Lake Olmstead Stadium Saturday, April 23rd, from noon to 5 PM and will feature 30+ hand-selected local, regional and national craft breweries.

"We are excited to partner with the Augusta Sports Council and create this fun and unique first time event at Lake Olmstead Stadium in 2016," stated Tom Denlinger General Manager. "We promise you won't want to miss this!"

In addition, the Augusta Craft Beer Festival will feature live performances by local bands and food menu customized by the GreenJackets Food and Beverage department to compliment the beers at the festival. The goal of the Augusta Craft Beer Festival is to educate the consumer and support the local craft beer community. 

Keith Edmondson, Organizer of the Augusta Craft Beer Festival, says he is "looking forward to offering 2-3 beers from each brewery to choose from." Says Edmondson, "We believe this will be the largest outdoor craft beer festival that Augusta has seen." There are three ticket options for the Augusta Craft Beer Festival.

 There are three ticket options for the Augusta Craft Beer Festival:

  1. The General Admission ticket holder will receive a 5oz glass Belgian taster, unlimited beer samples, and free drinking water from 12 noon to 5pm. A custom food menu will be available for purchase in the concourse of Lake Olmstead Stadium. Limited to 1500 tickets. Early Bird: $30 (Through April 1st), Regular General Admission: $35 per person, Day-of $40 per person
  2. The Hive Growler Bar ticket holder will receive a custom Augusta Craft Beer Festival /The Hive growler and one FREE fill at The Hive Growler Bar in addition to the General Admission amenities. Limited to 100 tickets. $55 per person
  3. The World of Beer VIP Food Pairing Ticket holder will be admitted at 11 a.m. to enjoy a meet and greet with owners/brewers of local breweries held in the VIP area of the fest. This will include specialty tasting, complimentary food pairings, and a World of Beer gift bag. They will be admitted to the festival floor prior to noon to get first pours on the best beers. Limited to 50 tickets. $100 per person

A partial list of breweries that will be on hand for the ABCF include Southern, Reformation, Monday Night, Jekyll, Eagle Creek, Red Hare, Lone Rider, Highland, Service, Coastal Empire, Terrapin, Small Town, Florida, R.J. Rockers, and more. To cap off the list, Riverwatch Brewery Company hopes to make their inaugural beer festival debut.
