The New Voice of the Mississippi Braves, Kyle Tait
While Tait enters his first season behind the microphone for the M-Braves, his experience dates back to 2007 calling the play-by-play for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball team. Since his time spent at Georgia Tech, Tait has called nearly 200 games at the collegiate level including two NCAA Regionals and three ACC Tournaments. In addition, he has been a familiar voice with M-Braves listeners occasionally filling in for broadcaster Ben Ingram at Trustmark Park.
Upon Tait accepting his new position, Steve DeSalvo, stated, "Although Kyle knows he has some pretty big shoes to fill in replacing Ben Ingram, we are confident that Kyle is the right choice to be Ingram's successor. Kyle has shown versatility in his sports play-by-play experience and has the tremendous advantage of having experience with our organization, our team, and our ballpark. I am extremely confident Kyle will do a fine job as our new radio broadcaster. "
As a graduate of Georgia Tech, he has had the honor of being a color commentator for Tech's women's basketball and performed public address duties for several of the University's sports functions. Furthermore, throughout his career, he has had the privilege of being guided by the likes of nationally recognized play-by-play broadcasters such as Wes Durham, the voice of the Atlanta Falcons.
Tait will begin his tenure with the Braves at Trustmark Park on April 7 as the M-Braves take on the Jackson Generals in a five game series.
