Indians Make First Spring Roster Reduction

Clevinger, Merritt, Morimando, and Walters Optioned to Columbus

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2016 Major League spring training roster:

Optioned RHP MIKE CLEVINGER, LHP RYAN MERRITT, LHP SHAWN MORIMANDO and UTL ZACH WALTERS to Triple-A Columbus.

Optioned RHP DYLAN BAKER to Double-A Akron.

Re-assigned RHP ADAM PLUTKO and RHP WILL ROBERTS to Minor League camp.

The current Major League spring training roster currently consists of 53 players (18 non-roster invitees).
