Blue Rocks & HealthSouth Middletown Announce Major Multi-Year Partnership
Wilmington, DE -- The Wilmington Blue Rocks are pleased to announce a new partnership with HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown. This multi-year, multi-dimensional relationship will feature a significant advertising presence at Frawley Stadium for HealthSouth Middletown as well as tickets for the MOT community and visits to the hospital from Blue Rocks players and staff.
HealthSouth Middletown is now the official sponsor of the Blue Rocks general admission section. Perched above the third-base concourse, the general admission section provides fans a picturesque view of the action on the field. The section is also the most affordable way for fans to get into the ballpark. General admission tickets to Blue Rocks games in 2016 start as low as $6.
HealthSouth Middletown will also sponsor MOT Community Night at the Blue Rocks and will underwrite 1,000 tickets to be distributed to the Middletown Odessa and Townsend community. Meanwhile, Blue Rocks players and staff will do their part in MOT, by appearing at the hospital to visit with patients.
It is that commitment to community that makes this relationship so enticing to the Blue Rocks.
"We're extremely happy to partner with HealthSouth Middletown as they share our passion for baseball and our community," said Blue Rocks Director of Advertising Sales Brian Radle. "Whether they are the baseball stars of tomorrow or today, we take great pride in our fans being able to see them perform in our intimate, affordable and fun environment. We couldn't be more excited to promote that together with HealthSouth Middletown."
HealthSouth Middletown will also be the presenting sponsor of all Major League rehabbers who appear with the Blue Rocks or at Frawley Stadium. Like patients at HealthSouth Middletown, baseball players returning from injury need time to work through the process of getting better. That often includes a short stint in the minors on their way back to the majors. Past rehabbers to appear with the Blue Rocks or at Frawley Stadium include Carlos Beltran, Alex Gordon and Jorge Soler.
The administration at HealthSouth Middletown values that type of synergy in its new relationship with Delaware's professional baseball team.
"Like the Wilmington Blue Rocks, our patients are facing an opponent - a debilitating condition - that they are trying to defeat," said HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown Chief Executive Officer Mathew Gooch. "Whether our patients' goals are to run the bases, hit a home run or watch from the stands, we use a team-approach in our treatment to help them succeed. We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity to support this team that brings a lot of enjoyment to our community."
HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown is a 34-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital and Delaware's first and only freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Located conveniently off of Route 1 in Middletown, HealthSouth Middletown is dedicated to helping patients recovering from stroke, amputation, brain injury, neurological disorders, complex orthopedic conditions, spinal cord injury and other debilitating illnesses and injuries achieve the individual rehabilitation goals required for them to return home to their families, communities and independence.
