Burlington's Baseball Season Kicks Off with Spring College Tournaments

The Burlington Royals are proud to announce that the city of Burlington and Burlington Athletic Stadium will once again host two college tournaments this spring before the Appalachian League schedule begins. Each tournament will take place during a select weekend in the spring, and tickets are available through the Royals' ticket office at (336)222-0223.


The first of the two is the USA South Athletic Conference postseason tournament, which begins Thursday, April 14, and runs through Sunday, April 17. The Division III conference includes local Greensboro College and nine other colleges and universities from the region.


Starting Saturday, May 7, Burlington Athletic Stadium will host the National Junior College Athletic Association's Division 1 Region 10 Regional Tournament. The tournament goes through Tuesday, May 11, and features perennial powerhouses Pitt Community College and Louisburg College.
