Dr Pepper Ballpark to host inaugural Frisco College Baseball Classic
FRISCO, TEXAS (March 24, 2016) - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, in conjunction with Peak Sports MGMT, have announced the Frisco College Baseball Classic, coming in March of 2017 to Dr Pepper Ballpark. The Classic will host the University of Arkansas Razorbacks, University of Arizona Wildcats, University of Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Oklahoma State University Cowboys in the inaugural year.
The Frisco College Baseball Classic aims to be the finest collegiate baseball tournament outside of the College World Series in Omaha. Every team plays each other team once in the Classic in a round robin format, as the four teams will play over three days, with two games per day.
Among the four participating teams, there are over 9,300 wins, over 700 MLB draft picks, 119 NCAA Post Season appearances, 46 College World Series appearances and five National Championships.
The Frisco Classic aims to bring in the nation's top teams in order to provide unparalleled entertainment and competition for the both the fans and athletes. Peak Sports MGMT has partnered with the RoughRiders, the City of Frisco, and the Frisco Chamber of Commerce in order to make this an event that will bring collegiate baseball fans into the Frisco area from surrounding states as well as surrounding cities and communities.

As a Proud Supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Frisco Classic will also be collecting donations to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis through its ticketing website and other opportunities over the course of the weekend. Donations to the CF Foundation help increase awareness of this life-threatening genetic disease and support research efforts to find an ultimate cure for cystic fibrosis.
