March 17, 2016

San Jose, CA- The San Jose Giants and Comcast have once again partnered to bring fans LIVE television broadcasts during the 2016 season. This year the organization is increasing their schedule to 31 games, most ever in the organization's partnership. The games can be viewed live on Comcast Hometown Network on Digital Channel 104 SD / 819 HD throughout most Northern California regions. The broadcast schedule begins with the home opener, Thursday, April 7, against the Lancaster JetHawks at 7:00 PM.

"Expanding our television schedule to 31 games is a great opportunity for our fans to catch and relive all the action this season," said Juliana Paoli, San Jose Giants Senior VP of Communications and Chief Marketing Officer. "After an unforgettable 2015 North Division Championship, another memorable San Jose Giants season is inevitable and to bring that excitement into over two million homes is something we are thrilled to announce."

After the live broadcast of each contest, all 31 games will be available for cable customers to view through Comcast On Demand Channel 1. All San Jose Giants television broadcasts will feature the play-by-play "Voice of the San Jose Giants," Joe Ritzo and the color commentary of Joe Castellano. Ritzo has been calling San Jose Giants games since 2003 while Castellano, who with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, has broadcasted a variety of sports for networks such as NBC, MLB Network and Comcast.

"The partnership between Comcast Hometown Network and the San Jose Giants offers a unique opportunity for our viewers to witness homegrown Giants before they make it to the Major Leagues" said Jeff Giles, Director of Comcast Hometown Network. "The San Jose Giants have remarkable moments on the field year after year and we are looking forward to capturing the most action ever from Municipal Stadium in 2016."

Highlights of the schedule include San Jose's home opener versus the Lancaster JetHawks, a special Independence Day telecast on July 4 against the Modesto Nuts as well as a league-high 7 games against the 2015 California League Champions Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. In total, fans will have the opportunity to watch 11 matchups this season against San Jose Giants' North Division opponents and 20 South Division opponents.
