Lowell's first day beats '06 mark by 16 percent
February 2, 2007
LOWELL, Mass. -- The Lowell Spinners, the Class A-Short Season Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, recorded their best start to group ticket sales with over 25,500 tickets sold on the first day, a 16-percent increase over last season's then-record mark of 22,000.

Thursday, Feb. 1 was the first day group tickets were available for purchase by the general public. The offering included Motorola Gator Pit outings, Brigham's Birthday Parties, Anniversary Packs, and other outings of 30 or more, which can be purchased by contacting the Lowell Spinners Ticket Office at 978-459-1702.

"It's easy to lose sight of how much our fans are thinking about the Lowell Spinners and baseball when there's snow outside and the winter coats are out," said Lowell Spinners Vice President/General Manager, Tim Bawmann. "But once again, our fans reminded us how much they -- and we -- are looking forward to Spinners baseball by starting off our season with this tremendous community support."

Individual ticket sales are scheduled to go on sale in late March with the date to be determined.

Along with group sales, fans can now book Scout Night Sleepovers (scheduled for Saturday, July 21 and Saturday, August 25) and Baseball Camps (Session One scheduled for July 11-13 and sponsored by Capital Cleaning, and Session Two scheduled for July 30-August 1).

The Lowell Spinners season is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 19 with a home series against the Oneonta Tigers. Please visit www.lowellspinners.com for the Lowell Spinners 2007 schedule.
