Manatees Director of Media Relations, Scott Pinner named to St. Leo University Advisory Board

Scott Pinner, Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Brevard County Manatees, was recently named to the Saint Leo University Sport Management Advisory Board. He is the second Manatees staff member to be named to the board as he joins Manatees General Manager Buck Rogers.

Pinner, a 1989 Communications graduate from the University of Georgia, has spent his career in various venues and levels of baseball and softball. Before joining the Manatees staff this season, he spent three years as the lead sports announcer at the Wide World of Sports complex in Disney World. Scott has previously worked with the Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros, and NCAA Division I College Baseball and Basketball. He has voiced the Summer Olympics, the NCAA Championships, several ESPN Original Productions. For the last several years he has been the play-by-play voice for Softball Central - the nation's number one internet radio site for softball. Scott is also a regular contributor to Baseball the Magazine where he covers NCAA baseball.

"I am very honored to have been selected to the board and I hope that my many years of experience will provide students and faculty valuable information and insight," said Pinner".

"We are very proud that a member of our staff has been honored this way". said Manatees GM and fellow board member Buck Rogers. "Scott's level of experience and knowledge make him an obvious choice for the board. I am sure he will be able to assist in the growth of future sports professionals".

As a member of the Sport Management Advisory Council Scott will act as a liaison and provide feedback on curricular issues and current industry needs. His media experience and contributions to radio and the sports industry have been immense and his continued dedication and talent is an asset to the industry and all those who work with him.
