New Female Mascot Naming Contest Announced
The Akron RubberDucks announced today a naming contest for the new female duck mascot, which is set to be unveiled on Opening Night, April 14 at Canal Park (vs. Bowie, 6:35 p.m.). The winner will receive tickets to Opening Night and a chance to participate in the unveiling ceremony.
From Mon., March 28 to Fri., April 1, fans can submit names for the new mascot by completing the online form located here.
An online vote from among the top five names, as determined by the RubberDucks front office, will run from Mon., April 4 to Thurs., April 7. The winning name will be announced Fri., April 8 and the mascot will make its official debut on Opening Night. The winner of the contest will be selected at random from those fans who submitted the winning name.

The Akron RubberDucks are the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The 2016 season will be its 20th since moving to Canal Park and its third since becoming the RubberDucks. The team begins its season on April 7 at Bowie and the home opener at Canal Park is scheduled for Thursday, April 14 at 6:35 p.m. against the Bowie Baysox.
