BayBears Release Promotional Schedule for 20th Season
MOBILE, AL - The Mobile BayBears have announced the promotional schedule for their 20th season and along with the return of the most popular nightly promotions, including fireworks following every Friday night game, several new special promotions will be featured as well.
BayBears General Manager Chris Morgan said, "As we are now less than one month away from our April 14 home opener, we are excited to be highlighting a promotions schedule for our 20th season that has should engage fans of all ages. We are also pleased to offer several ticket and concessions promotions during the week that will make the BayBears experience even more affordable for all of our fans."
Sunday: Sunday Fun Day presented by Dick's Sporting Goods and Bark In Park presented by Raising Cane's
Sundays are all about the kids as kids and their families will have a chance to play catch on the field before the game. After the game, kids 12 years of age and younger will be invited down to the field to run the bases. Special experiences for kids include an opportunity to be the public address announcer for a half inning as well as an opportunity for a child to sit in on the radio broadcast for a half-inning. It will be kids-only participation for all on-field contests throughout every Sunday game. "Bark in the Park" allows fans to bring their dogs to "The Hank", take part in a parade of dogs around the field between innings and win prizes through the "Bark in the Park" social media contest.
There will also be 5 different "Meet The BayBears" sessions during which fans can come on to the field following select Sunday games to meet their favorite BayBears players.
Monday: Every Monday Matters, presented by Greer's Markets
Fans can receive a free grandstand ticket with the donation of two books, two gently-used clothing items or two non-perishable food items. The beneficiaries of this special promotion include Goodwill Easter Seals, the Bay Area Food Bank, and the Mobile Public Library.
Tuesday: 2-for-1 Tuesday, presented by Subway Restaurants
Fans can get a free ticket to any Tuesday BayBears game with the purchase of a ticket.
Wednesday: One Buck Wednesday
A very popular promotion across minor league baseball and a first time promotion for the BayBears, One Buck Wednesday gives fans an opportunity to enjoy $1 concessions items throughout the game, including hot dogs, popcorn, and soda.
Thursday: Thirsty Thursday and College Night
Fans 21 years of age and older can enjoy discount adult beverages until the 7th inning of every Thursday game. Fans can also enjoy $2.00 16oz. Pepsi products throughout the game. College students with a valid student ID can attend the game with a fellow student for the price of one.
Friday: Wind Creek Friday Nights at The Hank featuring Post-Game Fireworks
The BayBears continue their most popular promotion as fans are invited to stick around after every Friday night game for a colorful fireworks show, presented by Wind Creek.
In addition to fireworks following all 10 Friday night games, fans attending the special Independence Day game on Monday, July 4th will also be treated to a special post-game fireworks show.
Saturday: AutoNation RAM Truck Showtime Saturdays
Every Saturday game during the 2016 season will feature a different fun theme. Some of the Saturday themes include Airbus Appreciation Night and Car Shade Giveaway (April 16), 20th Anniversary T-Shirt Giveaway, presented by Cook's Pest Control (April 23), Paint The Park Pink / Breast Cancer Awareness Night / Pink T-Shirt Giveaway (May 7), Armed Forces Night (May 21), and Star Wars Night (July 9).
Kids 12 and under will be able to run the bases following every Friday and Saturday night game.

The BayBears season begins on the road April 7, with a five game series against the Tennessee Smokies. The road trip continues with two more games against the Biloxi Shuckers on April 12 and 13. The home opener for the BayBears' 20th season is Thursday, April 14 at 6:35 p..m versus the Biloxi Shuckers.
