Where are the best places to watch a game?

Our ticket representatives share their favorite seats
March 15, 2011
Each baseball fan has a favorite place to enjoy watching a game. For some, it's on the lawn with some friends and a few beers. For others, it's with the family behind the home dugout.

Last season, Raley Field was voted by USA Today as one of the Top-10 Minor League Ballparks in America. Our River Cats Ticket Representatives have seen baseball games from every corner of the ballpark. Here are their favorite places to watch a game:

Solon Club: Watching the game from up top gives you the full view of the game and the stadium below you. You can watch every play happen and you are close by exclusive food choices and a full bar. Nothing beats the cool zone fans on a hot summer day.

Behind the River Cats Dugout: No better place to see your River Cats up close and personal. Make sure to stand up as your River Cats make their way back to the dugout, there might be a baseball tossed your direction. Not to mention, the beautiful Sacramento skyline is the background.

Section 112, behind home plate: Watch each pitch leave the pitcher's hand and head straight toward you. This is the place to see every inch of the field and a safe place to bring kids with the net for protection. Keep your eye out and bring your glove as high foul balls are frequent.

Section 106, Rows 1-4: Right behind the visitor's dugout, you can watch Major League Baseball's top prospects up close. Or, if the opposing pitcher has a rough outing, you can let him hear it on his way back to the dugout. Bring your glove, because right-handed batters will be poking foul balls your way.

Right Field Lawn: Three of my favorite things in life are lying down, enjoying a cold beverage and watching baseball. On the right field lawn I can accomplish all three. You can also look right into both team's bullpens, which is a unique vantage point.

Dugout Club: Yes, this is the most expensive seat in the house. But here's why: You're closer to home plate than the pitcher! With all the leg room you want and great in-seat service, this is the equivalent to sitting courtside at an NBA game.
