F&M Bank High School Baseball Classic opens Wednesday at Intimidators Stadium

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (March 30, 2016) - The sixth annual F&M Bank High School Baseball Classic opens today at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System, featuring an eight-team field with squads from across Cabarrus and Rowan counties and the greater Charlotte area. Tickets are only $6 for adults and $5 for students and seniors (children 3 and under are admitted free).  

This three-day tournament will showcase four games each day at 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. This year's field includes A.L. Brown, Northwest Cabarrus, J.M. Robinson High School, Jesse C. Carson High School, South Rowan High School, Salisbury High School, and Parkwood High School. The championship game will be held at Intimidators Stadium on Friday at 6:30 p.m. following the third place game at 4:00 p.m. Friday's consolation bracket games will be held at A.L. Brown High School.

Game 1: 11:00 a.m. - Lake Norman def. Carson, 2-1
Game 2: 1:30 p.m. - Parkwood def. J.M. Robinson, 4-1
Game 3: 4:00 p.m. - South Rowan def. Salisbury, 22-4

About the Intimidators

The Intimidators are currently preparing for the 22nd season of professional baseball in Kannapolis and 16th season as a Chicago White Sox affiliate. Since the team's inception in 1995, a total of 85 players have gone from Kannapolis to the Major Leagues. The team plays at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System just off I-85, Exit 63 in Kannapolis.
