BANDITS TO PLAY AT BUSCH STADIUM IN MAY

River Bandits will play host Kane County at the home of the St. Louis Cardinals
March 21, 2011
The River Bandits will head south to St. Louis, Missouri to take on the Kane County Cougars on Thursday, May 26 at Busch Stadium, the home of the Bandits' parent club the St. Louis Cardinals.

"We are happy to have a strong relationship with the Cardinals," said River Bandits owner Dave Heller. "This is going to be an exciting night for our fans, our staff and perhaps most of all our players. This is a rare occasion that these guys can play in a big league stadium before reaching the Major Leagues."

This will mark the first time the River Bandits have played a regular season home game at their parent club's home venue. All tickets for the game will be available through the Cardinals by calling the Busch Stadium Box Office at (314) 345-9000. All tickets are $10 general admission. Existing season ticket holders have the option to purchase tickets exclusively for the Cardinals Club seats behind home plate.

"The Cardinals have a huge contingent of fans loyal to the organization and follow the prospects through the entire minor league system," sand River Bandits general manager Kirk Goodman. "This is going to be a great opportunity for some of the best fans in baseball to see many of their promising young prospects in person before they reach St. Louis at the major league level. We also hope to see Bandits fans from the Quad Cities for this unique opportunity to see their hometown team on a major league stage."

The game on May 26 will be an evening game and more details will be released as they become available.
