David Robertson was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 17th round of the 2006 MLB June Amateur Draft. Robertson pitched in 18 games for the Tampa Yankees in 2007.
Robertson started the 2007 season with the Charleston RiverDogs for 24 games before being promoted to Tampa. During his time in Tampa, Robertson had a 3-1 win/loss record and one save. In his 33 and one third innings of work he gave up six runs (four earned) and walked 15. He struck out 37 batters and finished with a 1.08 ERA. Robertson was then promoted to Double-A where he played in two games before the end of the season.
Robertson has been in a New York Yankees uniform for 25 games in 2008, 45 games in 2009, and 64 games in 2010. His current Major League ERA is a 3.99. He has a 10-6 win/loss record, and 170 strike outs with 71 walks. He's thrown 135 and one third innings throughout his three year career.
