Barons Announce 2016 Gameday Parking Plan

Jefferson County Health Department Lot to Gives Barons Fans New Parking Option at Regions Field
April 7, 2016

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Barons are excited to announce parking accommodations near Regions Field ahead of the upcoming 2016 Barons baseball season. The Barons are partnering with the Jefferson County Department of Health and offering their double-decker parking lot as a parking option for nearly all Barons home games. This new parking lot option is located on the corner of 6th Ave South and 14th Street South, within a five minute walking distance of Regions Field.

"The Jefferson County Department of Health is pleased to be a part of the vitality and sense of community surrounding Barons Baseball and Regions Field," said Health Officer Dr. Mark Wilson.

In addition to the Jefferson County Department of Health parking deck, the popular Barber's lot parking option off 1st Ave North operated by Parking Management Company returns this season. Intelligent Parking Systems will continue to operate the gas station parking lot across from the Barber's Lot on 1st Ave North, and the parking area at Ted's Cafeteria off 12th Street and 4th Ave South. Intelligent Parking Systems will once again operate 15 six-passenger carts running on a continuous loop between all parking lots and Regions Field during Barons home games; providing fans with efficient transportation before, during, and after games.

The Barons will continue to work with Children's of Alabama in hosting season ticket holders in Lot B located off 17th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue South. This will be permit parking only.

"We are excited to announce our 2016 parking plan and believe that the variety of locations gives Regions Field attendees excellent, convenient parking options for attending Barons games this year. We appreciate the partnership of Children's of Alabama and the Jefferson County Department of Health along with Intelligent Parking Systems and Parking Management Company in providing a variety of parking opportunities this season."

In addition to all the reserved parking lot options around Regions Field there are hundreds of street side parking spots within a six block radius of Regions Field. The Barons parking plan will alter for weekday day games, and the Barons will continue to update parking availability on both our Facebook and Twitter accounts so fans attending the game will have the latest information.

UPDATE (4/18): The JBCTA has suspended the MAX Dart Trolley system at Regions Field for the time being. The Barons apologize for this inconvinience. Fans will updated via social media at a later point in the season whether the trolley service with resume this season.

As in the past, the Barons suggest that attending fans pay attention to all signage and respect private property and park in appropriate parking locations.
