Barbeque Bakers, Beef Brisket and Buffalo Chicken Nachos, Join Fan Favorites Ahead of Opening Night
April 11, 2016

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ahead of tomorrow night's season opener at Regions Field, the Birmingham Barons are proud to announce a trio of new specialty menu items that will be joining fan favorites such as the Steel City Burger, Magic City Dog, and Bham Chicken Sandwich at Regions Field this season.

A pair of 22 oz. nachos, served in a souvenir Birmingham Barons helmet, will be available starting Opening Night, as will the BBQ Baker, a brand new collaboration with Dreamland Bar-B-Que straight from the restaurant to Regions Field.

"Each year we like to introduce unique food and beverage items at Regions Field to further the fan experience," said Barons General Manager Jonathan Nelson. "This year, our staff has done a great job of creating two flavorful nacho items in the Buffalo Chicken and Beef Brisket Nachos, as well as the BBQ Baker. We are proud to offer MillerCoors products in all our concession stands as well as creating a beer garden that includes all the Birmingham Craft Breweries."

The Beef Brisket Nachos will be served at the Magic City concessions stand and is comprised of chips, nacho cheese sauce, beef brisket, sour cream, and green onions drizzled in specialty bourbon infused sauce. The Buffalo Chicken Nacho brings the heat and features chips, nacho cheese sauce, grilled chicken breast, buffalo sauce, shredded cheese, blue cheese crumbles, ranch dressing, green onion, and celery sticks.

Dreamland's renowned BBQ Baker makes its way off the menu and into the outfield concessions of Regions Field, featuring a baked potato with jack and cheddar cheeses. It's served with a choice of BBQ pork or chicken, and then topped with BBQ sauce, sour cream, and green onion.

In addition to numerous Coca-Cola and Miller-Coors products available throughout Regions Field, the Barons will also be implementing a Birmingham Craft Beer Garden along the first base side concourse, featuring all five local breweries; Good People, Avondale, Cahaba, Trim Tab, and Ghost Train.

The Barons will also be highlighting a Birmingham-based food or drink product every Sunday home game with the "Eat Local, Drink Local" promotion. Further details will be announced throughout the season.

Another noticeable addition at Regions Field this season will be the introduction of digital menu boards along the first base side concession stands, including Piper's Pub & Grill near the right field corner of Regions Field.
