Homestand Highlights April 12-16

 

PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are celebrating Opening Night at Blue Wahoos Stadium on Tuesday, April 12 against the Jacksonville Suns. The first homestand features great food, fireworks and giveaways such as a magnet schedule and Blue Wahoos hat. Prior to Tuesday night's game, the field will be dedicated to Admiral Jack Fetterman.

What's Cookin': Opening Day is here and we are back to defend the bay against the Jacksonville Suns. The "Havana Nachos" have all the elements of a classic Cuban sandwich. Slow roasted mojo pork, crispy ham, shredded swiss cheese, Dijon mustard crema and a "pickle de gallo" are all layered on top of fresh fried lattice chips. This item is served at Port Side Grille for $12 for this homestand only.

Opening Night - Celebrate the fifth season of baseball in Pensacola!   
Admiral Jack Fetterman Field Dedication - The Blue Wahoos are honored to name to field after Admiral Jack Fetterman. Along with his wife Nancy, Admiral Fetterman was dedicated to preserving Pensacola's history and was instrumental in the development of Community Maritime Park.
Magnet Schedule - Fans in attendance will receive a free magnet schedule courtesy of Andrews Institute and WEAR-TV.
Damarious Randall - Current Green Bay Packer, and graduate of Pensacola High School, Damarious Randall will throw out a ceremonial first pitch as well as sign autographs on the concourse during the fourth inning. 

Wednesday, April 13 vs. Jacksonville Suns
First pitch at 6:30 p.m., Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Starting Pitchers: LHP Jarlin Garcia (JAX) vs. LHP Amir Garrett (PNS) 
Happy Gilmore Night - Games, music and scenes from Happy Gilmore will be a part of the fun! Bring down the family to enjoy decorating a golf ball and swinging the clubs. Stop by the 50/50 table to win an autographed Bubba Watson Visor, benefitting the Divot Derby presented by The First Tee of Northwest Florida.
Silver Wahoos - Our dancing group, the Silver Wahoos presented by the Retirement Planners, will perform at tonight's game. 

Thursday, April 14 vs. Jacksonville Suns
First pitch at 6:30 p.m., Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Starting Pitchers: RHP Austin Brice (JAX) vs. RHP Sal Romano (PNS) 
Throwback Thursday - Head down to Seville Quarter, park for free, enjoy drink specials and $5 appetizers, and then ride the free Wahoo Choo Choo tram to the stadium. Once at the game, continue to enjoy the drink specials in the park. 
End of Prohibition - Extra! Extra! Read All About It! Celebrate the end of prohibition with a night of drinks, dance and music!  
USSVI Drum Base - Pregame, the United States Submarine Drum Base in Pensacola is presenting the Blue Wahoos organization with frames photos of the two U.S. Navy Submarines named Wahoo pregame. 

Friday, April 15 vs. Jacksonville Suns
First pitch at 6:30 p.m., Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Starting Pitchers: TBA (JAX) vs. RHP Jackson Stephens (PNS) 
FANtastic Friday - The first 2,000 fans will receive a Blue Wahoos hat courtesy of Landrum Human Resources. Limit one per person.  

Saturday, April 16 vs. Jacksonville Suns
First pitch at 6:30 p.m., Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Starting Pitchers: LHP Tim Berry (JAX) vs. RHP Rookie Davis (PNS) 
Fireworks Saturday - The best fireworks show on the Gulf Coast will be after game and is presented by Woodlands Medical Specialists/Marcus Pointe Baptist Church.
