Nutzy 'Going Green' with GRTC

Fans Who Find Nutzy on Bus Routes to Win Prizes Including Opening Day Tickets

RICHMOND, VA - The Flying Squirrels and GRTC Transit System have announced that Nutzy will be "Going Green" leading up to Opening Day on Thursday, April 7th. Beginning Monday, April 4th, the first fan to find Nutzy on one of the GRTC bus routes, give him a high-five and tell him the password for the day will win a prize package from GRTC and RideFinders. The promotion will run through Wednesday, April 6th, and a total of three prize packages will be given away.

"We could not be more excited to partner with GRTC," said Flying Squirrels Vice President and COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "Taking the bus to Squirrels' games is a viable option for fans and hopefully this program will help make them aware of that option while also having some fun with Nutzy."

GRTC and its RideFinders division are delighted to continue and enhance that tradition by joining the Flying Squirrels in supporting environmental stewardship" stated GRTC CEO Eldridge F. Coles.

Passwords will be posted on ridegrtc.com as well as ridefinders.com. Monday's password will be posted on Friday, April 1st. The passwords for Tuesday and Wednesday will be posted in the afternoon on the previous day.

The winning fan on each day will receive a prize package consisting of a Family 4-pack of Flying Squirrels tickets to Opening Day, a $25 GRTC Go Card, two Team RideFinders t-shirts, a Team RideFinders Mrs. Match personal organizer, a Team RideFinders Cost Calculator calculator, a Team RideFinders Vanity Vanpool compact mirror, a Team RideFinders collector card set, and a Team RideFinders comic book.
