2011 Shorebirds Meet the Team Lunch
Salisbury, Md. - The Delmarva Shorebirds, class "A" affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, are excited the 2011 season has arrived and it's time to meet the team you will root for all year long. Come join us on Sunday April 10th in the Shorebirds Executive Club and get autographs, take pictures, and shake hands with the entire 2011 Shorebirds baseball team.
Following the meet and greet, stay and watch the team in action! The Shorebirds will take the field at 2pm and face off against the Greensboro Grasshoppers!
During the game, enjoy a 1.5 hour all you can eat buffet. The buffet includes: Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken Legs, Potato Salad, Carved Watermelon, Mac and Cheese and refreshments.
Tickets for the event are $27 for the general public and $24 for any Shorebirds ticket plan holder.
"I hope that Orioles & Shorebirds fans really get excited about the 2011 Shorebirds," said general manager Chris Bitters. "We feel that our meet and greets are perfect for fans who really want to spend time with our players and get to know them while enjoying a buffet dinner."
The Executive Club offers the best high angle view of the action. The club also features comfortable seating, climate controlled temperature and multiple televisions.
The Shorebirds open the 2011 season with a special exhibition game against Salisbury University on April 5. The South Atlantic League portion of the schedule begins on April 7 against the Greensboro Grasshoppers at Perdue Stadium.

The Delmarva Shorebirds are the Class "A" Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. The Shorebirds are owned by 7th Inning Stretch, L.P., the same company that owns the Stockton Ports of the California League and the Everett AquaSox of the Northwest League. The Shorebirds are celebrating 16-years of professional baseball on the Eastern Shore. During the 2009 season, the Shorebirds finished with an average attendance of 3,567 fans, the largest average since the 2002 season. In 2007, The Shorebirds had the top attendance based on market size in Minor League Baseball(tm), according to Sports Business Journal (Aug. 2008). In 2010, more than 6,000 fans packed Arthur W. Perdue Stadium nine times including a season high of 8,993 fans on August 7th.
