CNBC's Darren Rovell promotes tots on Twitter

April 1, 2011
CNBC's Darren Rovell, one of the nation's leading sports business reporters, spoke glowingly of one of the JetHawks new concessions items yesterday. The arrival of baseball season has led Rovell to seek out the best ballpark food items in America and the new sweet "po-tater" tots, which are available at Clear Channel Stadium all season, caught his eye.

Rovell tweeted the following statement regarding the tots Thursday:

"Best thing I've seen today? The @jethawks serving sweet po-tater tots w/side of syrup for $3!"

Rovell included a photo of the tots with the tweet. JetHawks Director of Food and Beverage Adam Fillenworth created the new item as part of the JetHawks revamped concessions menu for the 2011 season.

"I'm excited at how fast people have taken notice of our new food items," Fillenworth said. "Anytime you receive national recognition for one of your new food items, it helps build anticipation for the upcoming season."

Fans will get their first chance to try the sweet po-tater tots as well as a variety of other new menu items, including the Stealth Burger, when the JetHawks take on Antelope Valley College in an exhibition game at Clear Channel Stadium Tuesday. Game time is set for 5 p.m. The JetHawks open the season when High Desert comes to the Hangar April 7 for a 7 p.m. contest.

Ticket packages for the upcoming 2011 season are currently available. To lock in your seats, call (661) 726-5400 or visit www.JetHawks.com.
