Randy and Jenny Boyd Honored by UT
On Friday, the University of Tennessee dedicated the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research at the Haslam College of Business. The research center will be used for economic analysis and policy considerations.
Earlier in April, the UT Board of Trustees approved the re-naming of the center in honor of Tennessee alumni and Smokies' owners Randy and Jenny Boyd.
In addition to running Boyd Sports LLC and owning both the Smokies and the Johnson City Cardinals, Randy Boyd is the state Comissioner of Economic and Community Development, as well as the founder of Radio Systems Corporation, which produces pet products under brands PetSafe, Invisible Fence and SportDOG.
The Tennessee Smokies would like to congratulate Randy and Jenny Boyd on their latest honor. For more information on the dedication, please check out the full article from the Knoxville News Sentinel.
