Buss, Bullpen Lead Bees to Win
The Salt Lake Bees overcame an early four-run deficit to rally for a 10-5 win over the Sacramento River Cats on Saturday night. The Bees trailed 4-0 heading to the fourth inning, but quickly retook the lead scoring three in the fourth, five in the fifth and another in the sixth to take control of the game. Outfielder Nick Buss led the Bees offensive charge with his second consecutive three RBI night. The top four bats in the Bees lineup combined to score nine of the Bees 10 runs.
Reliever Ramon Ramirez (2-0) was credited with the win after pitching two scoreless innings of relief. Ramirez, Lucas Luetge and Al Alburquerque combined to retire all 15 Sacramento batters the Bees bullpen faced. With the win the Bees improved to a Pacific Coast League-best 8-2 record, which includes a 6-0 mark against Sacramento. The two teams will play game three of the four-game series Sunday at 2:05 p.m. MT.
