Selena Gomez Performing at Werner Park August 12
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, April 9 at 10 a.m. at the Werner Park Ticket Office, by phone (402) 738-5100 and online at www.omahastormchasers.com. A total of 8,900 tickets will be available for the show, 300 of which will be in the special VIP area directly in front of the stage and the remainder general admission throughout the ballpark.
Tickets for the VIP section will be $50.50 and the remaining 8,600 general admission tickets will be $35.50. The show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., with gates opening at 6 p.m.
Gomez, whose Hollywood Records premiere CD "Kiss & Tell" was recently certified Gold, has been well-known for her acting career for several years now. She stars in the hit Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place" as Alex Russo, helping the program win a 2009 Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Program. Prior to that she had a variety of acting roles, including a recurring spot on "Barney & Friends" from the age of 7 and a leading role in the 2003 film "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over."
Her debut album was a collaborative effort that included producer Ted Bruner, songwriters Gina Schock, Tim James and Antonina Armato and Selena's band, The Scene.
"Because it is my first record I wanted it to be amazing," Gomez said. "I think of this record as a huge learning journey. I wanted to find my sound and see where I wanted to go musically."
Werner Park, the brand-new home of the Omaha Storm Chasers, is a state-of-the-art Minor League Baseball ballpark just south of the Omaha city limits in Sarpy County. Storm Chasers season ticket holders and full-season suite holders may purchase tickets through a special team presale code beginning at noon on Thursday, April 7.
