6 Games To Be Featured On Cox Channel 126
Cox Communications will once again televise six Omaha Storm Chasers regular season contests during the 2016 season on Cox Channel 126. The first broadcast is set for this Thursday, April 27. Time Warner Cable Sports Channel in both Lincoln and Kansas City will also carry the six Storm Chasers games. Other regional Cox Channels broadcasting include Channel 22 and 2022 in Kansas, Channel 3, 703 or 1333 in Oklahoma and Channel 78 and 2078 in Arkansas.
The broadcast schedule features games against American Northern division rivals in the Oklahoma City Dodgers and Colorado Springs Sky Sox, as well as tilts against the Albuquerque Isotopes, New Orleans Zephyrs, Salt Lake Bees and Las Vegas 51's. The full 2016 schedule will be as follows:
- Thursday, April 28 vs. Oklahoma City Dodgers - 6:35 p.m.
- Thursday, May 26 vs. Albuquerque Isotopes - 6:35 p.m.
- Thursday, June 23 vs. New Orleans - 7:05 p.m.
- Thursday, July 14 vs. Salt Lake - 7:05 p.m.
- Thursday, July 21 vs. Las Vegas - 7:05 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 10 vs. Colorado Springs - 7:05 p.m.
All Home and Road Storm Chasers games can also be heard live on KZOT 1180 Zone 2 The Deuce. Storm Chasers Director of Broadcasting Mark Nasser will broadcast every game this year in his 16th season with Omaha. Joining Nasser for 2016 is Donny Baarns, who spent the previous eight years broadcasting games for the Visalia Rawhide, the High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. Baarns, who also has experience broadcasting Athletics Spring Training contests, will handle pre-game and post-game duties, play-by-play during home matchups, and host the Sun Valley Landscaping Live Pre-Game Show inside the Sun Valley Party Patio prior to every Storm Chasers game at Werner Park.
Digital Broadcasts for live Storm Chasers Baseball are also available on MiLB.TV by subscription, and at no charge on the MiLB Gameday Audio App and on TuneIn Radio.
Select Omaha Storm Chasers contests this season will also be broadcast in Spanish. Jose and Juan Munoz will team up to call the action for those broadcasts on 1020 AM "La Nueva".
